The hotel has 26 well-appointed bedrooms at excellent rates, and is run by the lovely Becattelli family, well known in the Scottish Borders for their outstanding service and attention to detail.
The Cross Keys offers several fantastic wedding packages which are very attractively priced. The larger inclusive package is just £2,000 for 50 day guests and £1,250 for 150 evening guests, and no need to hire a marquee. You’ll also find smaller packages to suit close friends and family, and other flexible options including an evening-only reception.
You can get married in the hotel itself, but why not choose a gazebo in the beautiful gardens at Makerstoun House, overlooking the River Tweed? Makerstoun, the home of Lord Nicholas Biddulph, is only five minutes’ drive from Kelso, and makes a wonderfully romantic setting for your ceremony.
